The day I walked into the Library for my first day with the Westbank Writers' Group was one of the best days I have experienced. Thank you to them for their support and encouragement.
My son, Bob, and I completed our Reiki Master/Teacher certification in 2005 and have co-authored a Reiki student manual "Infinite Usui Reiki - Student Manual" and teaching manual "Infinite Usui Reiki - Teacher Manual". The manuals are in the final stages of preparation for print and publication.
I was ordained as a Metaphysical Minister in 2008 and am a member in good standing with the Canadian Institute of Metaphysical Ministry. I am writing a self help book on grief and survival. From my own experiences with trauma, grief and survival from childhood through present along with my years of ministry I hope the book will help others and allow them to know they are not alone.
I am compiling a recipe and info book for wild game, fish and fowl. The book is for Peachland Sportsmen's Association fund raising. Members and non-members of the association are attributing greatly to this book, many thanks to all for their help.

Helene' Bonvie
My name is Helene Bonvie and I have resided in Westbank since 1995.
Reading and writing in English and French as well as painting have always been an important part of my personal life. They also played a rewarding factor in my business life. Along with thriving Okanagan gardening, Arts provides me with endless opportunities for better physical and mental health. I enjoy attending Writing workshops and look forward to our weekly Westbank Writers gatherings. Over the years, I have self-published several family and friends histories/memoirs/eulogies through Hachette Printing, Quebec, QC. Shakespearean poems are my favourite pastime and have submitted regularly to CBC competitions. . Currently working on two Science fiction novels of several chapters on inter-planetary matters. Currently reviewing documentary on Impact of Global Environments. Currently auditing novel on World Historical Influences.

"I have been a part-time freelance magazine and trade journal writer since 1991. Articles have appeared in print in Canada, US, UK, Asia and New Zealand. I have no particular genre that I specialize in and have written about pretty much everything including engineering, supervision, landscaping, travel, ponds, KOI, prospecting, turtles, gold panning, business, statistics, welding and a bunch of other stuff. If you want to be a magazine writer then remember these words of wisdom about editors : They may say yes or they may say no to what you submit. But if you do not submit anything you will never know what they may have said. So just do it."
